He was the first executive to oversee an enterprise wide transition of a client facing MSO production team, taking it from a market level resource to an enterprise wide agency. His team of 250, which he also led through a three-company merger, handles 5,000 clients and over 20,000 projects on an annual basis. Timm is responsible for managing the budget for a $25M cost center, the ability to show ROI for a significant portion of Spectrum Reach’s $2B annual revenue, drive an additional $5M in incremental revenue and serve all internal Spectrum Reach clients.
Timm joined Time Warner Cable Media from ESPN where he ran a team within in their Sports Management department overseeing sponsor integrations for almost all of their professional sport properties and thousands of integrated feature executions for high-end clients per year. Timm’s innovations were felt company wide, particularly when he initiated the creation if the “Mini-Mercial” which was written up in the New York Times before being launched with MillerCoors as the first sponsor. Timm started his 12 year tenure with ESPN/ABC Sports in Remote Production where he touched almost every aspect of a live event telecast from simply booking Mike Tirico’s hotel rooms to producing live golf telecasts with multiple trucks and upwards of 60 cameras. He was part of a team recognized as the #1 media marketing organization in the country in 2009 by the Annual Beta Advertising and won an Emmy for “Outstanding Live Sports Special” at the 2005 Open Championship (British Open of golf).
Timm, his wife Kelly and their daughter Evelyn reside in a Brooklyn row house they brought back to life after 15 years of abandonment. Timm was once a goaltender in Ontario’s Junior hockey system but has since retired his blades.
